畠中整骨院院長 畠中健でございます
表記大会は、名誉院長が、この大会を当時の和歌山南ロータリーの会員の諸先輩方にお願い、ご協力頂き、立ち上げた大会となります
私も健心館にいた子らの試合を見てきました
おそらく私がきていることを気づくことは誰もなかったと思います
健心館を指導しなくなり2年近く
最初は、ご紹介した移籍先の先生への遠慮
また正直、喧嘩別れしたわけでもなく、不満があって出られたわけではないです。単純に指導者としてよりも指導者である前に子どもらの親であること。親の責務を優先させたということですね。
でも、教え子が他道場の道着をきているのは、複雑なものです
上記など含めて今まで、いけませんでした
健心館は、我が子との時間を作るべき週末練習をなくすことを保護者の方々にご理解頂き、今に至ります
将来、当時私が、なぜそうしたのか？もっと深く理解されると思います
週末しかこれない会員の子以外が残り、最後は半年という期限をきって無料で指導してきました
未だ入門希望のお問い合わせは多いのですが、私が、健心館の指導を再開することはありません
一方、私は55歳まで講道館柔道七段を目指しております。点数はほぼOKになりかけです。健心館畠中道場の団体登録は、継続しております。そのため、健心館は、永遠に不滅でその証拠に全日本柔道連盟の賛助会員(スポンサー)が、健心館畠中道場です
そのため、グランドスラムなどの国際大会含めて全日本柔道連盟の息のかかった試合のプログラムには、必ず、健心館畠中道場の名前が、掲載されます。
さて、私は柔道指導が嫌いになったわけではなく、むしろ好きでやりだしたら無限大だからです
ビジョンとしては、
後継のような人財が、あるのであれば
数人いると思います
それは、完全にクラブチームとして確立させることです
そこには、細分化させて、護神だけ、競技柔道をよりよくしたいなど、クラス分けはこまめに行う必要がある
幼稚園、小学校、中学校、高校
高校も将来インターハイに、クラブチームが出場できる余地が、スポーツ庁の議事録にあるので、クラブチームの都道府県代表という道筋は、ZEROではないということです
その部門に監督、コーチが、全ていて、
その統括ぐらいの役職なら私は可能かと思います
が、身体は一つなので、柔道整復師、鍼灸師の仕事と、今までできなかったことを今は、させて頂いている状況です
上記のようなビジョンは、柔道の競技人口の普及には不可欠であると思います
またそこには、しっかり月会費が発生し、指導者が、柔道指導で生計を立てられるくらいになる必要があるのです
さて、私は今まで、中学もあるときとない時ありますが、小学の指導は、一年間の計画がありました
また、それは、幼稚園から行われております
高学年の監督を任されているものとして、
子どもさんが、入門してきたとき、その子の資質を見極めて、いつ、上のクラスにあげていき、選手に引き上げるか？
逆算して強化をしてきました
さらに、健心館は、県外の招待試合をどんどん増えてきて、最後の方は、断っていきましたが(断ると↩️呼ばないという大会もあります)
練習試合より通常練習や出稽古で鍛え込む方が、大舞台で、大きな柔道ができるのです
いちいち招待試合にでると、ただでさえ目先のことを気にする傾向の強い子どもたちが、試合を意識した練習になるのは不可避です
また成長著しい子どもたちの故障の原因になりますし、医学的にもよくないと思われます
それを考えると、
新チームができるのが早ければ
8月
そこから次の年の8月ぐらいまで
全国いけば10月まで
その大会に慣れさせられるレベルの相手と練習させていく必要があり、それは県外遠征を意味します
それを考えると毎週ということになりかねません
そこに、中学が入ればその倍の回数となります
私は、どこまで鍛えたらどこまでできるか？感触は掴んでいるつもりですが、それを実行する体力は、年々落ちているので今やれと言われたら無理ですね笑
ただ、健心館指導再開する時は
我が子が、柔道を真剣にやると言った時です
その時は、期間を決めて、子どもが大人になるまで地域の同年代の子どもたちを一緒に指導させて頂く所存です
今まで、20歳ぐらいから走り抜いてきた指導者の人生、最後は、我が子の時は、その辺、許して頂こうと思います
まあ、本気でやるといった時ですから、それは、子どもには、子どもの人生があり、それは、一人一人好きな人生があるのです
好きなことをやればよい
サッカーしたいといえば私は教えられない
テニスしたいといえば同じく
柔道したいといえばそれは、できるし、今まで研究してきたことをすべて伝えるつもりです
柔道は、やっぱり最高ですね

I am Takeshi Hatakenaka, Director of Hatakenaka Orthopedic Clinic.
Today marks the tournament established by our Honorary Director, with the support and cooperation of our senior members from the Wakayama Minami Rotary Club at that time.
I came to watch the matches of the children who were at Kenshinkan.
I doubt they noticed I was here.
It’s been nearly two years since I stopped instructing at Kenshinkan.
Initially, it was out of consideration for the instructor at their new dojo.
Also, honestly, seeing my former students wearing another dojo’s uniform is complicated.
For these reasons and others, I didn’t attend.
Kenshinkan has reached its current state because parents understood the need to eliminate weekend practice, allowing time for their children.
In the future, I believe they will understand more deeply why this was done.
Only members who could only come on weekends remained. In the end, I set a six-month deadline and continued teaching for free.
I receive many inquiries, but I will not resume teaching at Kenshinkan.
Kenshinkan continues its group registration and is eternally indestructible. Proof of this is that Kenshinkan Hatanaka Dojo is a supporting member (sponsor) of the All Japan Judo Federation.
Therefore, the name Kenshinkan Hatanaka Dojo is always listed in the programs for tournaments under the All Japan Judo Federation’s purview, including international events like the Grand Slam.
Now, it’s not that I grew to dislike teaching judo; rather, once I started, my passion became boundless.
My vision is this:
If there are people who could serve as successors,
I believe there are several.
The goal is to fully establish it as a club team.
Of course, we’d need to carefully categorize classes—whether it’s just for self-defense, improving competitive judo, etc.
Kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, high school.
Regarding high school, the Sports Agency’s minutes mention the possibility of club teams competing in the Inter-High in the future. So the path for a club team to become a prefectural representative isn’t zero.
If that division had a full staff of supervisors and coaches,
I think I could manage a role overseeing that.
However, I only have one body, so I’m currently focusing on my work as a judo therapist and acupuncturist, doing things I couldn’t do before.
I believe the vision outlined above is essential for expanding the competitive judo population.
Furthermore, this requires a solid monthly membership fee system, enabling instructors to earn a living solely through judo instruction.
Now, while I’ve sometimes taught middle school and sometimes not, my elementary school instruction has always followed a yearly plan.
This planning also extends to kindergarten.
As someone entrusted with supervising upper grades,
when a child first joins, I assess their aptitude to determine when to move them up to higher classes and develop them into competitors.
I’ve built training programs working backwards from that goal.
Furthermore, while Kenshinkan gradually declined invitations to tournaments toward the end (some tournaments stop inviting you if you decline),
Training intensively through regular practice and visiting other dojos builds the foundation for performing at a high level on the big stage.
If we accepted every invitation, it would inevitably lead to practice becoming focused solely on competition—a tendency already strong among children who tend to fixate on immediate results.
It also becomes a cause of injury for children who are growing rapidly, and is considered medically inadvisable.
Considering this,
the earliest a new team can be formed is
September
and then until around July
or October if they go to nationals
They need to practice with opponents at a level that prepares them for those tournaments, which means traveling.
Considering that, it could easily become weekly.
Add middle school to that, and it doubles.
I think I have a sense of how much training is needed to reach what level, but my stamina to execute it is declining year by year. If someone told me to do it now, it’d be impossible, haha.
However, when I resume teaching at Kenshinkan,
it will be when my own child says they want to seriously pursue judo.
At that time, I intend to set a fixed period and teach alongside local children of the same age until my child becomes an adult.
Having run the course of a coach’s life since around age 20, I hope you’ll forgive me for taking it easy when it comes to my own child.
Well, it’ll be when they genuinely commit. After all, children have their own lives, and each has their own path they choose to walk.
They should pursue what they love.
If they want to play soccer, I can’t teach them that.
If they want to play tennis, same thing.
But if they want to do judo, that I can do. I intend to pass on everything I’ve studied and researched up to this point.
Judo really is the best, isn’t it?
