Today is the birthday of our clinic’s Honorary Director.
Happy Birthday!
He goes golfing every Sunday,
so he’s out playing today as well.
We plan to celebrate once he returns.
The Honorary Director is working this morning.
I believe he’s more energetic than I am.
In the afternoon, he does various things like training on the second floor and tending to the vegetable garden.
In his work, I hope he continues to show us his great example, and I want to absorb as much as I can from him.
In his family life, I hope he stays healthy, lives a long life, and gets to see his grandchildren grow up for many years to come.

さて、昨日かと思われますが、柔道、講道館杯試合の組み合わせ決まりました
各年代のトップクラスの選手のみ選ばれて戦う試合
健心館OBが、天理大学に進学し関西地区2位でこの大会を決めました
試合は来週
ケガないように調整され、健闘祈ります

現役時代、よく当館にきて頂き、実業団コマツで活躍されこの前、毎日新聞にも掲載されていたアメリカで柔道指導活躍されている石川慈さんが、この講道館杯何回も優勝しているのはすごいなあと改めて思います

A Ken Shinkan alumnus, now attending Tenri University, secured his spot in this tournament by placing second in the Kansai region.
The tournament is next week.

To get straight to the point, we have seen an increase in patients visiting our clinic with injuries related to the above conditions.
Many come to us because their injuries were left untreated or did not heal at other clinics.
At our clinic, we often suspect orthopedic issues and request a definitive diagnosis from an orthopedic specialist, which frequently confirms the above conditions.
Regarding fracture sites, especially where bone union is incomplete (some areas may not fuse), the orthopedic specialists we refer patients to provide precise diagnoses.
For this reason, both our patients and our clinic are deeply grateful.
The suspected findings observed via ultrasound and the fixation methods used are proprietary information and cannot be disclosed.
Judo therapists interested in learning more are welcome to study alongside us at our clinic.

嶋本脳神経外科・内科
嶋本院長にご挨拶に行かせていただきました
私が車から降りると待ってくださっていて、手を振ってくださいました
嶋本院長には、感謝しかありません
当院の患者様のレントゲンをかなり撮って頂きました
また、子どもが小さい頃頭をうった際もみて頂いたことあり、本当に色々とお世話になりました
どうお伝えしたらよいか困惑する感じなくらいお世話になった先生です
院長としてでなくなられるとは思いますが、いつまでもお元気にいて頂きたいと思います
白衣の姿は、いつもカッコよかったです

Today, I visited Director Shimamoto of Shimamoto Neurosurgery and Internal Medicine Clinic,
which will be closing next month, to pay my respects.
When I got out of the car, he was waiting for me and waved.
I have nothing but gratitude for Director Shimamoto.
He took numerous X-rays for our clinic’s patients.
He also examined my child when they hit their head as a toddler. Truly, he has helped us in so many ways.
It’s hard to find the right words to express how much he has done for us.
Though he is retiring as director, I hope he stays healthy and well forever.
He always looked so cool in his white coat.
There’s still a month left, so please take good care of yourself. I know many patients rely on Director Shimamoto.

さて、来月より水曜日午前施術再開いたします
色々な医療業界の今後を考え
水曜日は、通常の日と異なるように考えておりました
1)体外衝撃波の予約制の日
他の日より1000円加算となります
2)骨折などの急患様の対応は行う
3)水曜日知らずにこられた、間違えたこられた保険で行う患者様は対応いたします
4)二階、三階の融合で柔道の受け身を体得できる体操教室も視野にいれています
4)に関しては11月から行う予定でした。
が、体外衝撃波施術は、県内の遠くからと県外からこられるケースも非常に多いです。
それ故に即できる体外衝撃波施術予約日として先に稼働させることにいたしました。
4)のリーフレットや、内容準備、定員、
会費、多くの方にご利用できるように1から３ヶ月で、一つのスクール終了させる
その次に空き待ちの違う方で体操教室として行う
など
4)はもっと精度を高めて準備して稼働させる必要がありますので少々お待ちください

It’s truly getting quite chilly in the mornings and evenings now, isn’t it?
Please take good care not to catch a cold.
Now then, starting next month, we will resume Wednesday morning treatments.
Considering the future of various medical fields,
we had planned for Wednesdays to be different from regular days.
1) It will be an appointment-only day for extracorporeal shock wave therapy.
An additional ¥1,000 fee will apply compared to other days.
2) We will still handle emergency cases such as fractures.
3) We will treat patients who come in on Wednesdays unaware of the change or by mistake, using insurance coverage.
4) We are also considering a gymnastics class on the second and third floors where participants can learn judo breakfall techniques.
Regarding point 4), we had planned to start this in November.
However, we receive many patients for extracorporeal shock wave therapy who travel from distant locations within the prefecture and from outside the prefecture.
Therefore, we have decided to prioritize launching the dedicated appointment days for this therapy first.
For item 4), we need to refine the preparation, including leaflets, content, capacity, and fees, to ensure accessibility for many.
We plan to complete one session within 1 to 3 months, then offer the exercise class to those on the waiting list.
As item 4) requires more precise preparation before launch, please bear with us a little longer.

昨日、教え子たちの試合をみに大学の団体戦の全国大会観戦にいきました
決勝は
名門同士
天理大学対東海大学
天理大学は、健心館OBが現在、お世話になっているので天理大学のところで応援しておりました
天理大学は、惜敗
どちらが勝ってもおかしくない試合でした
また、この試合をもって
東海大学上水監督、天理大学穴井監督が勇退されます
学生の皆さんも意気に感じて戦ったことでしょう
本当に両監督は名将です
直近で言えば
先月の個人戦全国大会で
天理大学は、7階級中4階級で優勝
健心館OBもこの穴井監督にお世話になってよかったと思います
卒業するまでお世話になってほしい気もします
が、監督業というのは、本当に大変だと思います
私も長年少年少女の監督をしてきて、
色々多岐にわたる動機のある子たちをどうするか？
また少年少女の場合は、保護者の方と子どもたち両方のコントロールが必要となります
小学生が、この状況なので
進路がかかる大学では多忙を極められたと思います
両監督は、教育者、真の柔道家であると思います
また外から日本柔道を、支えていただけたらと思います

Yesterday, I went to watch the national team tournament at the university to see my students’ match.
The final was
between two prestigious schools:
Tenri University vs. Tokai University
Since Tenri University is where the Ken Shinkan alumni are currently affiliated, I was cheering for Tenri University.
Tenri University suffered a narrow defeat.
It was a match where either team could have won.
Also, following this match,
Tokai University’s Coach Kamizumi and Tenri University’s Coach Anai will be retiring.
The students surely fought with great spirit, feeling this significance.
Both coaches are truly legendary figures.
Just recently,
at last month’s national individual championships,
Tenri University won four out of seven weight classes.
I feel fortunate that Kenshinkan alumni were also mentored by Coach Anai.
I almost wish they could continue being mentored until graduation.
But coaching is truly a demanding job.
Having coached youth teams for many years myself,
I know the challenge of managing children with diverse motivations.
With young athletes, you must balance the needs of both the children and their parents.
This is especially true for elementary school students.
Considering the stakes involved in university placement, their schedules must have been overwhelming.
Both coaches are educators and true practitioners of judo.
I hope they will continue supporting Japanese judo from the sidelines.

よく聞かれるのですが
当ビルは、テナントではありません
自社ビルです
故に敷地内であるところに
和歌浦口は、観光の玄関口であるため
椅子の設置と、雨宿りできるようにしております
工事的な問題もあり、アドバイスもあった木々の伐採。
伐採することなく、その場所にあった木々は、私の自宅にうつしてすくすく育っています
そのため、掲示板もあるかと思います
最近まで、大阪関西万博やミャクミャクが、話題になる前から、大阪関西万博の品々を設置してきました。
閉幕にあたり現在、ほぼ何も掲示しておりません
本来ならハローウィーンするところですが時期が中途半端になるので来週ぐらいから
一気にクリスマスに持っていきます
少し早いですが、11月になれば早くもない

I often get asked about this,
This building is not a tenant space.
It is our own building.
Therefore, since it is on our own property,
Since Wakaura-guchi is the gateway for tourists,
we have installed chairs and provided shelter from the rain.
Due to construction issues and advice received, trees were cut down.
The trees that were suitable for that location were transplanted to my home and are now thriving.
Therefore, you may also find a bulletin board there.
Even before the Osaka Kansai Expo and Myaku Myaku became topics of discussion, we had been displaying items related to the Osaka Kansai Expo.
With the event now closed, we currently have almost nothing on display.
Normally, I’d be decorating for Halloween, but the timing feels awkward, so I’ll start around next week
I’ll switch over to Christmas decorations all at once.
It’s a bit early, but once November arrives, it won’t feel too soon.

While I should be careful about discussing specific baseball teams,
but please forgive me as a Kansai native.
I was worried they’d dominate the Central League only to see it all go down the drain in the Climax Series.
I’m truly relieved.
The way the Hanshin Tigers, Yokohama BayStars, and Manager Miura
shows what a great manager and player he is.
During my training days, I worked at Ikooka Hospital in Osaka, where I treated many fractures, dislocations, and other injuries.
Ever since then, the spirit of the Hanshin Tigers, the real deal from Osaka, has stayed alive in me.
I wish you the best of luck in the Japan Series.
Personally, I’m praying I win the Japan Series ticket lottery.
I’ll give it my all this final Saturday of the weekend.
