あとでお伝えしますが、昨日からバタバタすることが、あり予定が大幅に狂いました

家族に何かあったわけではないのでご安心ください

さて、昨日アップ予定だった

当院の新しい治療機器の特殊設定によるEMS機能を使って、腹横筋の反応

結論から言えば非常によいポイントを発見しました

筋肉にははじまるところと終わるところがあります

腹横筋は、広範囲にわたるのは確かともいえます

また、これは他にも言われている方がおられるかもしれませんが、腹横筋鍛える定番的なドローインというトレーニング方法

私がエコー観察する限り、はっきりした膨らみが観察できませんでした

これは、わたしの照射方法も誤りかもしれませんので、一度論文などエコー含めて研究してみます

で、一般の方に公開できるようなもっとわかりやすい、エコー観察した様子を今、描写中ですので、完成したらアップさせて頂きます

YouTubeは、時間があれば毎日アップします

が、明日から仕事はじまります

ほとんどそんな時間はありません

不定期になりますが、数年やる、やらない

YouTubeのDVD2つ購入したのに、数年せずにいました

年末からYouTubeアップしましたが、完全に我流でDVD見ずにしました

私は実は説明書読むのが嫌いで試行錯誤してやりたい、変なタイプなのです笑

I’ll explain later, but things have been hectic since yesterday, throwing my schedule way off.

Please rest assured, nothing happened to my family.

Now, regarding what was scheduled for yesterday’s update:

Using the EMS function with special settings on our clinic’s new treatment device to observe the transverse abdominis muscle’s response

To cut to the chase, I discovered an exceptionally good point.

Muscles have a starting point and an ending point.

It’s certainly true that the transverse abdominis spans a wide area.

Also, while others may have mentioned this before, regarding the standard “draw-in” training method for strengthening the transverse abdominis

based on my ultrasound observations, I couldn’t clearly see a distinct bulge.

This might be due to my irradiation method being incorrect, so I’ll research papers and ultrasound studies on this.

I’m currently working on describing the ultrasound observations in a way that’s easier for the general public to understand. I’ll upload it once it’s complete.

I’ll upload to YouTube daily if I have time.

However, work starts tomorrow.

I’ll hardly have any time.

It’ll be irregular, but I’ll keep it up for a few years, or maybe not.

I bought two YouTube DVDs, but ended up not using them for years.

I started uploading to YouTube around year-end, but did it completely on my own without watching the DVDs.

Truthfully, I hate reading manuals and prefer trial and error—I’m a weird type like that, haha.

Yesterday, we had an emergency patient with symptoms of a severe ankle sprain.

Considering the damaged ligaments, we applied an Ortho-Glass splint.

Now, our clinic has shed the New Year mood.

We are preparing for the start of work next Monday,

with operations resuming on Monday the 5th.

We will be open for treatment both morning and afternoon sessions.

さて、昨日、お正月に気の毒な話ですが

遊んでいて転んで手を突っ張って負傷

前腕骨が、かなりずれていて徒手整復(ズレている骨を戻す) 固定を行い、不安定な状況なので

即日にレントゲンとって頂けるところを手配して上記骨折疑いが、骨折と確定診断されました

正月早々、本当にお気の毒な話です

さて、今、箱根駅伝始まりましたね

この駅伝をみたら、私の大学時代を思い出します

全国から集まった仲間と練習し、日本武道館で戦った思い出

一昨年、箱根ゴール地点でみていました

雨が降っていて激寒でした

箱根行きのバスが10時にはとまるということで

新幹線駅の小田原駅の近くに泊まりました

一番いいのは、ゴールすぐそばの芦ノ湖の箱根ホテルですが、とるのは無理です笑

箱根にいってみてまた暖かい時にいきたいと思いました

それは、非常に楽しい場所で、ケーブルカー、船、バス、電車でほぼ同じ場所にいける

近隣の新和歌浦もこんなにできないのかなあと思いました

で、いってみて、思ったのは、

次泊まるときは、箱根湯本という場所ですね

ここなら、交通の便と箱根駅伝を堪能

寒いなら、箱根神社前のセブンイレブンオススメです😛

各大学のご健闘をお祈りしております

さて、今年度は、急患様に特化したような院

おのうらにも考えております

当院は日本柔整外傷協会に所属しているのですが、ここの所属の先生で是非やってみたいとあれば、タッグを組みたいところです

おのうらなら、雑賀崎からまた、紀ノ川こえたあたりからも橋一本でご来院すること可能です

和歌浦も大概立地はよいですが、その地域の急患様には、おのうらも抜群です

今年は、いろいろな展開を構想してますので、突っ走ります

Now, yesterday, unfortunately during the New Year holidays,

a patient injured themselves while playing—they fell and braced themselves with their hands.

The forearm bone was significantly displaced. We performed manual reduction (realigning the displaced bone) and immobilization. Due to the unstable condition,

we arranged for an X-ray yesterday, which confirmed the suspected injury as a fracture.

It’s truly unfortunate to have this happen so early in the New Year.

In such urgent and troublesome situations,

please call Wakauraguchi Hatanaka Orthopedic Clinic at 073-444-0618.

For those unfamiliar, it’s just past Akibayama, right next to Toyota Corolla.

The call will connect to the director’s mobile. If he is out and unable to handle it personally, we will arrange for an orthopedic surgeon to assist, though availability cannot be guaranteed.

Now, the Hakone Ekiden relay race is on right now.

Watching this race brings back memories of my university days.

Memories of training with teammates gathered from all over Japan and competing at the Nippon Budokan.

I watched it in Hakone the year before last.

It was raining and bitterly cold.

Since we weren’t sure if the buses to Hakone would run,

we stayed near Odawara Station, the Shinkansen station.

The best option would be the Hakone Hotel right by Lake Ashi near the finish line, but getting a room there is impossible, haha.

After going to Hakone, I thought I’d like to go again when it’s warmer.

It’s a really fun place where you can get to almost the same spots by cable car, boat, bus, or train.

I wondered if nearby Shinwakaura could do something like this too.

So, after going, I thought,

Next time I stay, it’ll be Hakone-Yumoto.

Here, you get great transportation access and can fully enjoy the Hakone Ekiden.

If it’s cold, I recommend the 7-Eleven in front of Hakone Shrine 😛

I wish all the universities the best of luck.

Now, this year, I’m considering opening a clinic in Onoura

specializing in emergency patients.

Our clinic belongs to the Japan Association of Osteopathic Medicine and Traumatology. If any doctors affiliated with this association are interested in collaborating, I’d love to team up.

From Onoura, you can easily reach us by crossing just one bridge, whether coming from Saigazaki or from the area beyond the Kinokawa River.

This year, I’m charging ahead with various plans in mind.

Today is New Year’s Eve.

I hope you are taking it easy.

I plan to finish the final insurance claim paperwork this morning.

This year, a long-time staff member returned after maternity leave, which has been a tremendous help with the morning workload.

In the afternoons, another staff member who previously worked other shifts has joined us. Thanks to them, we’ve been able to maintain a very clean clinic.

Our Honorary Director will turn 88 next year.

He’s more energetic than I am and plays golf every week.

While our clinic doesn’t operate on a designated doctor system, when patients like the Honorary Director’s classmates visit, I personally direct them to the reception desk to be seen by him.

I see many patients myself, but there’s no particular need for anyone to request me specifically.

The Honorary Director only works mornings, so if you wish to be treated by him, please come in the morning.

Please feel free to request his services.

Personally, I strive to have staff members across a wide age range, matching the age groups of our patients, to ensure we can connect with them effectively.

I myself continue to pursue becoming a judo therapist and acupuncturist worthy of being the third-generation director of Hatanaka Orthopedic Clinic, following in the distant footsteps of the Honorary Director.

Also, yesterday we treated three emergency injury patients.

This connects directly to the director’s mobile. If I am unavailable due to being out, I will send a text message from my phone.

We also respond via official LINE, but since urgent cases are, well, urgent, nearly 100% of patients call us directly.

只今、和歌山中央郵便局にもってまいりました

元旦ついてくれるかなあ？

2026年の当院からの年賀状ですが

昨今のデジタル化に伴い、

施設入所、体調崩されていても良くないので

今年ご来院頂いた75歳から100歳までの方、数百名だけに、限定させて頂きました

70代の方でも、当院ホームページ記載によるご来院、当院の受付などの情報を拝見されていると多数お聞きしております

また、名誉院長も、87歳ですが、LINEを使いこなしておられます

それを考えると75歳以上の方には、お出しした方が、喜ばれると考えました

年々、年賀状のやりとりも少なくなる可能性もある方もおられると思われます

また、昨今、当院の患者様ではほぼゼロに等しいくらいないですが、

あるところから、医療費抑制のような書類を送って来られるという方もお聞きします

また、それにより患者様も困惑、お困りの同業者の先生も多くお聞きします

それを考えると、新年に、元気がでるお年賀をお出することが、高度成長に日本国を押し上げられた年代の方々への、私からできる敬意と感謝の方法となります。

実際、新年ご来院頂いた時にありがとうとおっしゃれる患者様も多いですし、元旦にお電話頂くこともあります

I just brought it to Wakayama Central Post Office.

I wonder if it’ll arrive by New Year’s Day?

This is our clinic’s New Year’s card for 2026.

Given the recent shift to digital communication,

and considering it might be difficult for those in care facilities or experiencing poor health,

we’ve limited it to just a few hundred people who visited our clinic this year, aged 75 to 100.

We’ve heard that many people in their 70s also visit based on information from our website or our reception desk.

Moreover, our honorary director, at 87, is quite adept at using LINE.

Considering this, we thought sending them to those aged 75 and above would bring them joy.

We also recognize that for some, the exchange of New Year’s cards may decrease year by year.

Furthermore, while it’s almost nonexistent among our patients these days,

we’ve heard of people receiving documents related to medical cost containment.

We’ve also heard of many fellow practitioners experiencing confusion and trouble because of this.

Considering this, sending New Year’s greetings that bring energy for the new year is a way for me to show respect and gratitude to the generation that propelled Japan’s high economic growth.

Indeed, many patients express their thanks when visiting us in the New Year, and some even call on New Year’s Day.

Therefore, please understand that the 2026 New Year’s cards will be sent to several hundred individuals who visited our clinic in 2025, ranging in age from 75 to 100 years old.

This data will be posted on our clinic blog, Instagram, and other platforms once New Year’s Day arrives.

本日、母の命日の日です

今朝、寝ているとき、携帯で急患様のお電話頂き、目が覚めてご住職さんが、来られる時間など含めて夕方のお約束となってました

その時、目覚めで少し私は、ボーしていたかも知らないので少し声が変だったかもしれません

しかし、朝から夕方となれば、症状にもよりけりだと思いますが、子どもさんなので不安だったと思われます

昼頃お電話あり、病院で対応して頂いたので、お時間お約束してたのに、申し訳ないとお電話わざわざ頂きました

早くみてもらえたのは、何よりです

年末年始、ケガの急患様で、当院即時、対応無理な場合は、和歌山市吹屋町の須佐病院さまに一度ご連絡してみてください

病院の当直医の先生の専門分野により、対応不可と言われるケースもあるようですが、須佐病院さまなら対応頂けると思われます

そこは、他院の話なのでご了承ください

さて、本日、私の母の命日の日です

一日も忘れたことは、ありません

私の母は、いろいろな方に愛情を与えていたことをあとで知りました

それは、私に対してももちろん、実感してました

私の尊敬する人物は、父もそうですが、母の方が少し上回ります

今の畠中整骨院、健心館畠中道場があるのは、母の縁の下の力持ちがなかったらあり得ません。

なので、いずれ、私が母と再会した時に、よくやったなといってもらえるような畠中整骨院にしたいと思います

母をヒヤヒヤさせないように

来年から、もとの私のアクティブ、スピード、パワフルなど、仕事への注視を5年前以上に戻していきます

父が元気で健康に、家族が健康で元気にいれるように見守ってください

Today is the anniversary of my mother’s passing.

This morning, while I was sleeping, I received an urgent call on my phone regarding an emergency patient. I woke up, and we scheduled an appointment for the evening, including the time the priest would arrive.

I apologize if I seemed a bit groggy from waking up at that time.

However, given it was from morning to evening, I imagine the child was anxious, though it depends on the symptoms.

Around noon, I received a call. They had been treated at the hospital, but they kindly called to apologize for the scheduled appointment time.

Getting seen quickly was the most important thing.

During the year-end and New Year holidays, if you have an injury requiring urgent care and our clinic cannot immediately accommodate you, please contact Susa Hospital first.

Today marks the anniversary of my mother’s passing.

Not a single day has passed without my remembering her.

I came to understand later how much love my mother gave to so many people.

Of course, I felt that love deeply myself.

While I respect my father, my admiration for my mother surpasses even that.

The current Hatanaka Orthopedic Clinic and Kenshinkan Hatanaka Dojo wouldn’t exist without my mother’s tireless support behind the scenes.

So, someday, when I reunite with my mother, I want Hatakenaka Chiropractic Clinic to be a place where she can tell me, “Well done.”

I won’t make her worry.

Starting next year, I’ll return to my original focus on work—being active, fast, and powerful.

Please watch over my father so he stays healthy and strong, and keep our family healthy and energetic.
